The last two weeks we had alot of DDOS attacks. Every day we received serveral DDOS attacks, which causes downtime for our entire network. Our hosting company is blocking most of these attacks. Yesterday there was a big attack on one of our servers, our hosting company was not able to stop this attack. That is why we started to look for a solution.
In the next coming days we are completely changing our server setting. This can cause some downtime but we are trying to avoid this. We are 100% sure that we can find a good solution together with our hosting company to avoid further attacks.
We want to apologize for these problems. We are doing our best to solve this as fast as possible.
The payments from january 2011 are also processed by our bank. You should have the money within 5 working days.
Database failure18/Feb
Last night at 10:40 PM (GMT+1) a serious database failure occurred. We did react immediately by taking all the games offline to minimize the damage.
The next hours we did our best effort to recover all player profiles using backups and recent logs. Also, we took extra measures so that this problem can theoretically never happen again.
All games are now working again as before, and all player profiles should be up-to-date again. If there is still a irregularity, you can always edit the player in question.
This unforeseen event was due to an error in the database-software and happened completely beyond our control. We apologize for the inconvenience.

In this third week of February, a number of updates is presented once again.
Revenues overview
The revenues overview, where you can see how many Mafia Coins / Money you have earned, has been expanded . So far, players could only see the statistics from the last three months. From now on, you can see the statistics for the last twelve months (note: start date is August, 2010).
More countries
Are you in possession of the “countries management” upgrade? In that case, you can now activate a maximum of 50 countries in your game (as opposed to 15).
Webmaster tools
The metatags update (previously 20 MC) has been changed in “webmaster tools” (40 MC). The increased price and the name change are due to a new opportunity. With this new opportunity, you can install so called tracking codes for affiliate programs. When you want to set up an affiliate program, you often run into the problem “installation tracking software/pixel”. With this update, the problem should be a thing of the past.
Friends and Enemies
On the player’s profiles, you can now see whether or not a friendship or rivalry is mutual.
Objects management
Are you in possession of the “objects management“ upgrade? In that case you can now, independently from objects, set the minimum rank players need to reach before they can become president.
